Lil Wayne’s extensive career is so prolific that even he struggles to remember all of his songs. During an interview with Rolling Stone, the rapper admitted that he couldn’t differentiate between his albums Tha Carter III, Tha Carter II, Tha Carter One, and Tha Carter IV. Despite creating multiple songs every day, memory loss has become “a gift and a curse” for this 40-year-old artist. “I believe that [God] blessed me with this amazing mind, but would not give [me] an amazing memory to remember this amazing sh*t,” he said.
Along with memory difficulties, Lil Wayne has been candid about his struggles with seizures and epilepsy. His plane made an emergency landing in Omaha, Nebraska, in February 2022, following two minor seizures. According to his reps, he has also experienced seizures in 2017, 2016, and 2013, though he’s had many more in total. Despite these health issues, Lil Wayne has no intention of retiring. “The real true artists and pioneers never retire. They died doing this,” he told Rolling Stone.
