A mother from Wisconsin shared a harrowing story of her 3-year-old son sneaking out of their home during nap time to satisfy his craving for McDonald’s.

In a viral TikTok video she posted in July, Marissa Phiffer expressed her shock and fear, admitting that the incident left her feeling “sick & scared.”

Phiffer, who discovered her son’s disappearance upon waking up, called 911 and frantically searched for him before authorities located him at a local McDonald’s.

In an interview with “Today,” Phiffer revealed that her son, Aiden, walked nearly half a mile to the fast-food restaurant, where a concerned citizen had called the authorities after spotting him.

Upon seeing his mother, Aiden cheerfully greeted her, explaining that he was hungry.

Phiffer, embarrassed by the situation, didn’t buy him a Happy Meal and quickly left the restaurant.

In response to the viral video, other parents shared their similar experiences, highlighting the importance of child safety.

Phiffer later posted a follow-up TikTok video, mentioning that she has added extra locks to her home to prevent future incidents.
