If you use your laptop for both work and personal life or share your MacBook with someone else, there’s a brilliant way to keep your accounts separate.
Set up different user accounts attached to different fingerprints. You can assign specific fingers to your work profile and personal account. For instance, you can assign your pointer finger to the work profile and your ring finger to your personal account. If you’re sharing the MacBook with your spouse, you can link your fingerprints to your own accounts.
To set up these accounts, go to the Apple menu, then select System Settings > Touch ID & Password. You can save up to five fingerprints, with three active ones. Additionally, from this screen, you can customize what Touch ID can do, including unlocking the computer, using Apple Pay, and auto-filling passwords.
