6-Alarm Fire Engulfs 2 Homes, Displaces 29 Residents in Boston
A 6-alarm fire ripped through two multi-family homes on Ellington Street in Boston on Saturday, resulting in one person being hospitalized and 29 residents being displaced. The Boston Fire Department worked tirelessly to battle the intense flames, with a sixth alarm being ordered by 4:20 p.m. The fire department’s efforts were relayed to the public via social media platform X, previously known as Twitter.
The American Red Cross and The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services were quick to respond, offering support to the displaced residents and first responders.
The flames, which quickly spread to the neighboring structure, were eventually knocked down by 4:30 p.m. Reports indicate the fire damaged two multi-family homes, leading to extensive displacement.
