Dublin-based Vita Actives, founded in 2006, manufactures and supplies bulk ingredients and nutrition solutions to over 400 companies worldwide. Its customers range from sports nutrition to health, wellness, and cosmetic industries.
Dairygold Health and Nutrition’s general manager, George MacLeod, expressed excitement about the growth opportunities within the fast-growing life stage nutrition sector offered by this transaction. He also mentioned the potential for cross-divisional research and development that would uncover new prospects for Dairygold.
Deepak Sharma, the chief executive and founder of Vita Actives, expressed confidence in the acquisition as it would support their growth plans and provide a platform for achieving success.
In its results for 2022, Dairygold reported a significant increase in turnover, earnings before interest, tax and amortisation (EBITDA), and operating profit compared to the previous year. The company’s chief executive, Conor Galvin, attributed these impressive results to maximizing market returns, enhancing operational efficiencies, and effectively managing volatility and inflationary pressures.
