In an audacious act of robbery, a Macy’s store in Arcadia was targeted by a group of at least five suspects who swiftly looted the premises while brandishing large bags. The incident took place during a flash-mob style operation.
The Arcadia Police Department promptly responded to the scene at The Shops at Santa Anita mall, located on the 400 block of South Baldwin Avenue, after receiving reports of multiple suspects stealing merchandise from Macy’s. Officers arrived at approximately 1:10 p.m.

Throughout their investigation, detectives confirmed that the suspects infiltrated Macy’s and absconded with various boxed sets of perfume. Subsequently, they made their escape in a black four-door sedan, the destination of which remains unknown.
Remarkably, the brazen theft occurred without any hindrance from store employees or security personnel, as evident in cell phone footage recorded by onlookers and shared on social media. The suspects had strategically concealed their faces and heads.
Last week, authorities announced the formation of a specialized task force designed to combat similar robbery incidents.
