In a TikTok video shared by Disney Husky Life, the perspective of the Husky named Everest is narrated to explain where service dogs are kept while their owners go on rides that are not safe for animals.
An example used in the video is the Rise of the Resistance attraction at Hollywood Studios. While the owner can walk with their service dog through the queue, the dog is not allowed on the ride itself due to its intense movement and drop.
The video explains that a cast member takes the owner and the dog to the back of the attraction where the dog is watched over while the owner enjoys the ride without them.
The video has gained over 1.7 million views as of Wednesday.
Rise of the Resistance has an interactive queue that leads parkgoers through various scenes before reaching the actual ride. In one of these scenes, the parkgoer and her service dog were briefly held until the backstage kennel was ready for them.
According to the TikToker, all kennels are properly sanitized before and after each use.
Once the kennel was ready, the parkgoer and her dog were escorted through a hidden path to the private area. Her parents, however, had to wait for her outside.
The TikToker then shows the kennel, which is a standard wire dog crate, and explains that a Disney employee stays with the service animal until the owner finishes riding the attraction.
After the ride, the owner retrieves her dog at the exit and continues her day at the park.
At the beginning of the video, the TikToker mentions that service dogs are allowed on any ride without a height requirement. They are also free to roam the theme park, meet characters, and enjoy snacks.
