Live Roster Updates for All 32 NFL Teams in the 2023 Cuts Tracker

The highly anticipated 2023 NFL season is set to commence next week with the Kansas City Chiefs, reigning Super Bowl champions, playing host to the Detroit Lions on Thursday, September 7th at 8:20 p.m. ET, which will be broadcasted on NBC. As teams gear up for the start of the season, they are making cuts to their rosters.

According to the league’s regulations, teams had to finalize their 53-man rosters by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday. With the conclusion of the preseason, teams began making their roster cuts over the weekend in preparation for the upcoming season.

One noteworthy cut came from the Arizona Cardinals, who let go of veteran quarterback Colt McCoy despite keeping Kyler Murray on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. The Houston Texans also parted ways with a veteran player, cutting Captain Christian Kirksey.

In addition to roster cuts, there have been several trades this week, including the trade that sent quarterback Trey Lance to the Dallas Cowboys on Friday night. Teams are looking to either make room on their roster or strengthen their lineup through these trades.

For a comprehensive look at all the moves made by teams, including trades and depth chart changes, be sure to check out the trade tracker and depth charts available on NFL Nation.

NFC East:
The biggest move in the NFC East was the activation of veteran cornerback Jourdan Lewis to the active roster. Lewis had suffered a severe foot injury last season but has been making strides in his recovery and is close to getting back on the field. This move allows him to practice with the team and potentially contribute in the upcoming weeks. Other than that, there were no major surprises among the cuts made by the Cowboys. The team is expected to re-sign long-snapper Trent Sieg, special teams player C.J. Goodwin, and offensive lineman Chuma Edoga soon.
