Preamble

Geoff Lemon

Hello once again. There is one burning question amidst the mist in Manchester. Are we prepared to go through it all once more?

This summer has been non-stop cricket. The women’s Ashes concluded dramatically last night, while the men’s series continues today. There have been no dull moments, no ordinary matches, no routine exercises.

Instead, we have a Test series with the visitors in the lead at 1-2, two matches remaining, and a desperate need for England to secure a win by any means necessary.

The weather may prove to be a significant factor. It rained heavily here in Manchester yesterday, and I’ve heard that it’s been like this for weeks. However, today is clear so far, and the forecast suggests we might be fortunate until the weekend.

Let’s hold on to hope.
