Authorities are seeking the public’s help in an ongoing investigation involving four sexual assault suspects who were recently arrested in separate incidents in the LAPD’s West Valley and Devonshire areas, and are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
The Los Angeles Police Department detectives held a press conference at the LAPD’s Operations Valley Bureau to raise awareness about these cases and encourage potential victims to step forward.
“Given the nature of the alleged actions by the suspects, we are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying additional victims or providing any information that may aid our investigations,” stated the police.
During the press conference, the police showcased photographs of the following suspects:
– Mario Orozco, 31, who was apprehended on July 5 and currently held on $2.5 million bail. Orozco is accused of unlawfully entering multiple residences in the 18300 block of Vanowen Street in Reseda during the early morning hours of July 1, where he allegedly sexually assaulted the victims in some instances.
– Blessing Wainiwheh, 30, who was arrested on June 29 and is being detained on $4.4 million bail. According to the police, Wainiwheh entered a residence through a window around 10 p.m. on June 28, while the victim was asleep in her home situated in the 19500 block of Saticoy Street. After sexually assaulting the victim, Wainiwheh fled on foot in an unidentified direction.
– Cedric Tinsley, 25, was taken into custody on July 1 and is currently held without bail. Tinsley allegedly exploited an unsecured residence near the 19000 block of Astor Place around 10 p.m. on June 30. Inside the residence, Tinsley encountered the victim and sexually assaulted her. He then fled the scene with the victim’s belongings in her vehicle.
– Edgar Munoz, 43, a former Polytechnic High School teacher, is implicated in an inappropriate relationship with a minor that commenced in 2019 in Chatsworth. The LAPD recently charged him with ten counts of unlawful sex with a minor and five counts of oral copulation.
