Diorella “Lala” Sotto-Antonio, the chairperson of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), has denied allegations that she influenced a group of social media broadcasters to file a criminal case against Vice Ganda and Ion Perez. In a Facebook statement, Sotto clarified that her meeting with the members of the Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas Inc. (KSMBPI) at the MTRCB office on August 24 was part of her duties in overseeing the content of films and TV shows. She emphasized that the purpose of the meeting was to receive their support in ensuring responsible and quality content in the entertainment industry. Sotto added that the decision of KSMBPI to file a case against Vice Ganda and Perez was not influenced by the MTRCB.
