Kourtney Kardashian has recently shared a startling revelation. She went through a life-saving surgery to protect the life of her unborn child.
In a post on her Instagram, Kardashian explained her experience with “urgent fetal surgery.” She expressed gratitude to her doctors and family members who supported her during this difficult time.
The reality TV star wrote about her unexpected fear and the profound appreciation she now has for mothers who have faced similar challenges during pregnancy.
Kardashian expressed her everlasting gratitude to her doctors for saving her baby’s life, as well as her husband for being by her side throughout the ordeal. She also thanked her mother for her unwavering support.
She concluded her post by expressing her joy and relief as she left the hospital with her safe baby boy in her womb, offering her thanks to God.
Travis Barker, Kardashian’s husband, took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared his gratitude for the successful surgery. He thanked everyone for their support and announced that Blink-182’s tour would resume soon.
Fetal surgery is a complex procedure performed on a fetus in the womb to address life-threatening abnormalities or birth defects, as explained by the National Library of Medicine.
The procedure carries risks, including the possibility of fetal death, complications, early labor, and failure to treat the birth defect.
Kardashian’s update follows the announcement that Blink-182 had to postpone their European tour due to an urgent family matter involving Barker.
The band, comprised of Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge, explained on their Instagram that Barker had to return to the United States for a family emergency.
Kardashian and Barker revealed in June that they were expecting their first child together. During a Blink-182 concert in Los Angeles, Kardashian surprised Barker by holding up a sign announcing her pregnancy.
Kardashian is already a mother of three from her previous relationship with Scott Disick, while Barker has children from his previous marriage to Shanna Moakler.
