This historic parade, which has been held for over 260 years, showcased a remarkable military procession with more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians.
This year’s parade held special significance as it was King Charles’ first parade since ascending the throne. To commemorate the occasion, he rode on horseback, becoming the first reigning monarch to do so at Trooping the Colour since 1986.
Prince William joined his father Charles, along with Prince Edward and Princess Anne, in the parade on horseback.
Queen Camilla and Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, along with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, greeted the adoring crowds from a beautiful carriage.
Prince Louis initially appeared unimpressed by the large crowds outside Buckingham Palace, but soon burst into laughter, bringing joy to all.
Amidst the festivities, Kate Middleton radiated happiness as she rode in a procession from Buckingham Palace, captivating the crowd’s attention.
In another carriage, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, accompanied Princess Anne’s husband, Timothy Laurence.
Arriving at Buckingham Palace, the royal family gathered on the balcony to witness a stunning display of approximately 70 different aircraft participating in the celebratory flypast.
The royals took the time to acknowledge and wave to the excited onlookers gathered in front of the palace, who enthusiastically waved Union Jacks and craned their necks for a glimpse of the beloved family.
Prince Louis, showing his seriousness, even ended up giving a salute, much to the delight of his parents.
True to his nature, 5-year-old Louis couldn’t resist stealing the show with his funny faces captured by the cameras.
