The eagerly anticipated 2023 season for the San Francisco 49ers will commence with them facing the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. It’s great news for fans that Pro Bowl tight end George Kittle and veteran cornerback Charvarius Ward, who were both questionable due to injuries, are active and ready to play in the team’s Week 1 matchup.
Prior to their journey to the East Coast, San Francisco has put an end to all speculations surrounding AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa’s availability for the season opener. Bosa has signed a five-year contract extension and has been given the green light to step onto the field. He was included in the 53-man roster on Saturday, and according to head coach Kyle Shanahan, he is expected to have significant playing time against Pittsburgh.
