Sanchez, 25 years old, made a £25 million move from Brighton earlier this month and was in the starting lineup for Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool on Sunday. Lucas Bergstrom, a young player, provided backup on the bench.
Having amassed 163 appearances for Chelsea, Kepa was even entrusted with the captaincy last season. However, under new manager Mauricio Pochettino, he has been deemed surplus to requirements, leading to his season-long loan to Real Madrid.
