Colson Farabaugh’s untimely death in 2019 is commemorated by the stunning lights adorning Bernice Drive in North Huntingdon. The lights serve as a glowing memorial to the 19-month-old boy.
Jason Galata, known for his festive holiday light displays, spoke of the uplifting effect of the lights, which have become more than just a symbol of Christmas cheer since 2020.
The heartbroken Farabaugh family, led by Colson’s father Brad, established the Colson Memorial Fund in 2020 to assist parents who are grieving the loss of a child. The fund has raised $35,000, with a significant portion coming from the beautiful light display.
In a poignant moment, Brad shared that Colson would have torn through the lights gleefully, reflecting the joy he would have found in the display.
The Colson Memorial Fund has used its resources to provide care packages to bereaved families, offering a semblance of understanding and comfort in the face of their loss.
