CNN —
After her controversial comments on a podcast, Julianna Margulies has issued an apology for the remarks.
Margulies’ comments, made on the “Back Room with Andy Ostroy” podcast last month, stirred criticism for her views on marginalized communities and their lack of support for Jews during the Israel-Hamas war and the rise in antisemitism.
In her statement to CNN, Margulies expressed horror that her comments offended the Black and LGBTQIA+ communities and reiterated her respect and love for these communities.
Margulies emphatically stated her opposition to racism, homophobia, sexism, and prejudice, expressing her regret for sowing division with her words.
Additionally, Susan Sarandon issued an apology for her comments at a pro-Palestinian rally, acknowledging her mistake in the choice of words.
Video from a November 17 rally showed Sarandon making a statement that has since been addressed in her public apology.
Sarandon took to social media to express regret for her phrasing and her failure to show solidarity against bigotry of all kinds.
She acknowledged her shortcomings and expressed her sincere apology for causing any hurt with her comment.
