MANILA, Philippines – Jonas Valanciunas and Lithuania are determined to show a fighting spirit as they face the United States, concluding the second round of the Fiba World Cup between two undefeated teams.

The NBA center stated that Sunday’s match at Mall of Asia Arena would not be any different from their other games despite facing the American team, which is eager to regain dominance on the international basketball stage.

“Every game is special,” said Valanciunas after Lithuania’s 92-67 victory over Greece. “We give our all in every game. No matter who the opponent is, we will go out and fight.”

Lithuania has secured a spot in the quarterfinals, marking an improvement from their performance in the 2019 edition held in China.
