expense of our relationship with God. Let us take breaks and rest, but let us not forget the ultimate goal of appearing before Him. Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)

In today’s Gospel according to Matthew (22:1-10), Jesus invites us to appear before the Father and partake in His feast. It is an invitation that is extended to each and every one of us. The table is set, and all we need to do is accept His gracious invitation. Let us respond with gratitude and honor Him with our presence.

RSVP, “Répondez s’il vous plaît.” We must not overlook God’s invitation to be a part of His divine plan. Let us acknowledge His call and respond with heartfelt gratitude for His love and generosity.
—————
God’s invitation requires our personal appearance. We go to great lengths and make sacrifices to be physically present when applying for a visa to a foreign land. Yet, why do we not do the same when it comes to honoring God’s invitation?

“COMISYON” – Money and the pursuit of wealth often lead us to ignore God’s invitation. In today’s Gospel, we are reminded of those who chose worldly pursuits over the divine invitation. We must not be so focused on earthly matters that we neglect the needs of our soul. Time and effort spent in the service of the Lord are not in vain. When we appear before God at the end of our lives, may He not say to us, “You made money your God. I am God!”
Reflect on this today: “What does it profit a person to gain the whole world and lose their soul?” (Mark 8:36)

“CONSOMISYON” – Problems and worldly concerns often cause us to set aside God’s invitation. Life can be challenging, and the pursuit of material needs can consume us, causing us to forget about God. Instead, let us focus on the Lord and not the weight of our burdens. Let us not forget His invitation: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
—————
“INTERMISYON” – The pleasures and distractions of life can divert our attention from God’s invitation. As humans, we naturally seek comfort and worldly satisfaction, but we must not allow these temporary pleasures to take precedence over our relationship with God. We may take breaks and enjoy the journey, but let us not lose sight of the ultimate destination – appearing before Him. Remember, seek first the kingdom of God, and everything else will fall into place. (Matthew 6:33)
