Jenny captioned the photo by saying, ‘I’m posting this pic of my mum as she caused quite a stir on my stories this week! She’s 91 and I know, she doesn’t look it and she certainly doesn’t act it! So many of you asking what her secret is…’
She went on to reveal that her mother escaped apartheid in South Africa in the 1950s and came to the UK with her father and older brother to start a new life. Jenny explained that her mother’s youthful appearance can be credited to her healthy eating habits.
‘South Africans eat well: lots of fish and real home-cooked food. She doesn’t really drink, has never smoked, and has always been active. She still does my gardening and hers and cleans her house from top to bottom!’
Jenny pre-empted comments by affirming that her mother has never had any cosmetic surgery or injections.
