Discussing the potential for former President Donald Trump to return to office, Jen Psaki, a host at MSNBC, defended Joe Biden following a challenging week for the president’s polling numbers.
In light of recent New York Times/Siena College polls showing President Biden trailing Trump in five battleground states, Psaki, a former White House press secretary under Biden, expressed concern about a potential 2024 matchup.

Psaki cited alarming comments made by Trump in a Univision interview, including his advocacy for prosecuting political rivals. She also referenced various reports detailing Trump’s plans and controversial statements, emphasizing the potential consequences of his return to office.
Despite acknowledging Biden’s imperfections, Psaki underscored the significance of considering the alternative. She highlighted the dangers of a second Trump term, outlining potential repercussions such as his intention to prosecute perceived enemies and undermine the rule of law.
