CINCINNATI – The Toronto Blue Jays receive reinforcements in their quest to retain the third American League wild-card spot. Kevin Kiermaier and Trevor Richards, who were sidelined due to injuries, are set to return to the lineup for tonight’s game against Cincinnati.
The Blue Jays have announced that Kiermaier, a Platinum Glove centre-fielder, is back after lacerating his right elbow on August 6. Richards, a reliever, is also available again after dealing with ongoing neck inflammation since August 3.
