Jamie Foxx issues apology to Jewish community following controversial Instagram post

Actor Jamie Foxx apologized on Saturday for an Instagram post that has sparked accusations of antisemitism.

His post, which included the hashtags “fake friends” and “fake love” on Friday, stated: “They killed this dude named Jesus… What do you think they’ll do to you?”

Foxx, 55, promptly deleted the post after facing accusations of antisemitism.

A Wider Frame, a news website focusing on Jewish issues, described Foxx’s post as a “horrifically antisemitic message to his 16.7 million followers.”

For some, the use of the word “They” in Foxx’s post implied a harmful stereotype against the Jewish community.
