Following a medical scare in April that resulted in Jamie Foxx’s hospitalization for at least a week, the actor has provided the public with an update on his health.

In April, Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, revealed that he experienced a “medical complication” while filming his upcoming Netflix film, “Back in Action,” in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then, his loved ones have kept the details of his condition private.

In a recent Instagram video, Foxx emotionally discussed his health and addressed the rumors surrounding his mysterious medical issue.

“Firstly, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who prayed for me and sent me messages. I cannot stress enough how much your support has meant to me,” Foxx shared.

Though Foxx did not disclose the specific nature of his health scare, he acknowledged that it was an ordeal he never anticipated.

“I understand that many people were eager for updates, but honestly, I didn’t want you to see me in that vulnerable state… with tubes and uncertainty about my survival,” he explained.

Foxx admitted that he faced significant challenges during his recovery and described it as a tumultuous journey.

While tears welled up in his eyes, Foxx also lightened the mood by addressing some of the bizarre rumors that circulated while he and his loved ones remained silent.

“Some individuals claimed I was blind, but as you can see, my eyes are in perfect working order,” he joked, demonstrating his ability to move his eyeballs.

The duration of Foxx’s hospitalization remains unknown. On May 3, he broke his silence on Instagram, expressing gratitude and stating, “Feeling blessed.”

According to Corinne’s social media post on May 12, her father had been out of the hospital for weeks and was in the process of recuperating. Recently, Foxx was spotted in public on a boat, smiling and waving at passersby.

“I want to be remembered for my humor, acting, and singing,” Foxx concluded.
