Irvine Police Capture Male and Female Suspects, Aged 21 and 22, Involved in Lethal Car-to-Car Shooting

Irvine police have made arrests in connection with a fatal car-to-car shooting in the city, according to an announcement made on Saturday. The arrests took place on Friday, as indicated by Orange County sheriff’s inmate records.

Sgt. Karie Davies of the Irvine Police Department stated that the shooting occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Athel Avenue and Sego Street.

Through their investigation, detectives obtained information suggesting that the potential suspects resided in the vicinity of Kensington Park and Saint James, a residential area situated east of Jamboree Road and west of Harvard Avenue, Davies explained.

“A search warrant was secured for the residence,” Davies disclosed. “Given the nature of the crime, the Irvine Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) was activated. A perimeter was established around the residence, and announcements were made instructing the individuals inside to exit.

Without any incident, Jayden Browndorf, 21, of Irvine, and Noah Farmer, 22, of Tustin were both apprehended,” she added.

The victim, identified as 19-year-old Nicholas Alistair Neaimi-Pour, was shot while seated in the passenger seat of a Mercedes-Benz, according to Davies. A white Honda Civic pulled alongside the Mercedes-Benz, a male individual exited the vehicle, and proceeded to open fire on Neaimi-Pour, hitting him multiple times.

Despite being injured, Neaimi-Pour managed to exit the Mercedes-Benz, and several neighbors provided assistance until emergency responders arrived on the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz fled along with the individuals in the Honda Civic.

Neaimi-Pour was promptly transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, Davies stated.

“It is clear that he was deliberately targeted,” Davies commented regarding the victim. She further suspected that it was a pre-planned meeting location for those involved.
