Maluma, baby. Literally.
The Colombian superestrella‘s captivating smile and mesmerizing vocals were on full display during his electrifying El Tiny performance. However, the spotlight was stolen by the three words boldly proclaimed across his chest: “Papa de Paris.” Among the various titles Maluma has embraced — Don Juan, Papi Juancho — none have been worn with more pride.
“Esa cancion … se la compuse a alguien y es bien bonito tenerlas aquí,” the singer said in Spanish, teasing the announcement of his soon-to-be-born baby girl ahead of a teary-eyed performance of “ADMV.” The presence of Mama in the crowd was evident in the artist’s loving glances towards her throughout his emotional set.
Tears couldn’t stop Maluma from delivering his greatest hits, from the well-known banger “Hawái” to the recently record-breaking regional hit “Según Quién.” He showcased his stylistic diversity and vocal dynamism by blending smooth melodies with a rock-solid band that included a string section and masterful percussion.
As a surprise and grand finale to our heritage month celebration, Maluma closed the show in true Latino fashion — with pride, tears, and familia.
