Public support for the Black Lives Matter movement in America is rapidly declining. According to a recent poll by Pew, only 51% of Americans now support the group to some extent, a significant decrease from the 67% during the 2020 George Floyd protests.
Out of this 51%, a mere 22% strongly support the movement, while a disappointing 8% believe that it has been effective in improving the lives of black people. In fact, 57% of Americans rightly hold the belief that BLM has not made any positive impact, and one-third of individuals see the movement as dangerous and divisive.
Such skepticism should have been apparent from the very beginning. The founders of the group are essentially Marxists who harbored deep animosity towards law enforcement. They capitalized on the tragic death of George Floyd, exploiting emotions and fueling hatred, ultimately paving the way for violent protests.
However, while public support dwindles, the insiders have already reaped great financial rewards. Corporate America, in its attempt to showcase its progressive values, showered BLM with an astounding $90 million in donations.
