Apple has made an important announcement regarding price increases for several of its services, which include Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and Apple News+. These individual price hikes have also resulted in an increase in the cost of the Apple One bundles.
In the United States, Apple TV+ now costs $9.99 per month, increased from $6.99 per month. Apple Arcade has increased by $2 to $6.99, and Apple News+ is now priced at $12.99 per month, up from $9.99 per month. Apple One Individual and Family plans have increased by $3, while Premier plans have increased by $5. Prices have also increased in most other countries where Apple services are available.
If you are dissatisfied with the new pricing for Apple’s services, you have the option to easily cancel the subscriptions. Here’s how to do it from an iPhone or iPad:
- Launch the Settings app.
- Tap on your profile picture.
- Select Subscriptions.
- If you have Apple One, select “Cancel All Services” to end your subscription for all services. If you prefer to keep certain ones, choose “Choose Individual Services.”
- If you have individual subscriptions, tap on one of them and select “Cancel Subscription.”
- Confirm the cancellation by tapping on “Confirm”.
Once you cancel your subscription, you will still have access to the services until your next billing date. For example, if you paid for a year of Apple TV+, it will remain accessible until your prepaid period expires. Apple One can only be purchased on a monthly basis, so you will have at most one month before your access is terminated.
If you need to cancel your subscription on your Mac, the process is similar. Open the System Preferences app, click on your profile picture, select Media & Purchases, and choose “Manage” under the Subscriptions option. From there, you can follow the same steps as mentioned earlier.
Apple’s price increases took effect today for new subscribers. However, existing subscribers will be given a 30-day grace period before the new prices apply upon their next renewal. Apple is expected to send out emails notifying users of the impending price hikes.
