August 30th, 2023 (UPI) — Aisling Bea, the creator and star of “This Way Up”, and Yasmin Finney, known for her role in “Heartstopper”, are set to bring their talents to Season 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
World of Wonder proudly announced on Wednesday that Bea, 39, and Finney, 20, will be serving as guest judges in the upcoming season of this fierce drag reality competition.
A star-studded lineup of guest judges will also include singer Alexandra Burke, actress Cush Jumbo, designer Daphne Guinness, actor Joel Dommett, model Kristen McMenamy, singer Sophie-Ellis Bextor, and actress Suranne Jones.
“Needless to say they did not have to DRAG me back to be a judge. This season the contestants all blew me away with their incredible talent. What an honor to be back!” expressed Bea in a statement.
Excited about her role as a guest judge, Finney added, “I’m a guest judge and it feels out of this world! I felt like I was on another planet during filming… Planet Joy!”
Joining the star-studded lineup, other guest appearances will include singer Alexandra Burke, British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, television personality Carol Vorderman, and professional dancer Karen Hauer.
The iconic RuPaul returns as host and head judge, alongside regular judges Michelle Visage, Alan Carr, and Graham Norton.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 5 is set to premiere on Wow Presents Plus in the fall.
Adding to her already impressive resume, Finney, known for her role in the Netflix series “Heartstopper”, will also be joining the cast of Doctor Who, where she will portray Rose Noble, the daughter of Donna Noble and Shaun Temple.
