An individual believed to be involved in a series of consecutive robberies in Lake Elsinore, where they forcibly seized video gaming systems, is currently being held on $60,000 bail. Davan Lavar Patterson, a 21-year-old resident of Perris, was apprehended alongside 18-year-olds Edward Lamar Bullock and Elijah Dayne Robinson, both from Perris and Moreno Valley respectively, following an investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
All three men have been incarcerated at the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of robbery, conspiracy, and possession of a high-capacity rifle.
Bullock and Robinson have since posted $30,000 bail and have been released from custody within hours.
According to Sergeant Robert Thomas of the sheriff’s department, the suspects coordinated separate meetings with two different sellers of video gaming equipment in Lake Elsinore on Friday, using social media to communicate their interest in purchasing the items.
However, upon the sellers’ arrival at the designated locations and times, they were threatened and coerced into surrendering their electronics, after which the culprits fled the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Deputies managed to obtain a description of the getaway vehicle and subsequently located it at around 7:30 p.m. on Friday near the intersection of Evans Road and Whispering Wood Lane in Perris. The suspects were apprehended without any resistance.
Additional information regarding the background of these individuals is currently unavailable.
