Grant Hughes prioritizes the well-being of his estranged wife.
Shortly after Page Six confirmed Sophia Bush’s romantic involvement with soccer player Ashlyn Harris, Hughes’ representative exclusively stated that he is supportive of the new couple.
“Grant will always want the best for Sophia, and fully supports her happiness and fulfillment,” the representative confirmed on Wednesday.
Hughes, the co-founder of FocusMotion Health and former “One Tree Hill” cast member, married Bush in 2022 but announced their separation in August after 13 months of marriage.
A source revealed to Page Six on Tuesday that Bush and Harris are “definitely a couple,” although their relationship is still in its early stages.
According to another source, who People exclusively interviewed, Bush and Harris went on their first dinner date a couple of weeks ago after being friends for years and frequenting the same social circles.

“This is a recent development, and both individuals are embarking on new journeys,” a source disclosed.
Insiders shared that the romance between Bush and Harris began at the Cannes Lions advertising festival in June, where they both participated in a panel discussion.
Harris, the former goalkeeper for the USWNT (United States Women’s National Team) and Gotham FC, recently filed for divorce from her wife, Ali Krieger, after being married for four years.
The couple have two adopted children, a 2-year-old daughter named Sloane and a 1-year-old son named Ocean.
At the time of writing, neither Hughes nor Bush has publicly commented on their divorce. However, Bush removed all trace of her soon-to-be ex-husband from her Instagram feed and changed her last name back to her maiden name on the platform.
The news of their separation came shortly after the actress celebrated her first wedding anniversary with Hughes by posting a loving picture of the couple on their wedding day, which has since been deleted.
In response, Hughes shared his own post expressing gratitude for their first year of marriage being full, beautiful, dynamic, exciting, and growth-filled. However, he has also deleted his post.
Despite the shocking split and erasure of their relationship on social media, a close source to the estranged couple assures that the divorce is amicable.
“Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and found a connection during COVID through their shared commitment to community service. They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends,” the source stated last week.
Although there is no official statement from the “Chicago P.D.” star, she has been enjoying life following her split from Hughes. Notably, she attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in August, where she was seen energetically singing along to the breakup anthem “I Knew You Were Trouble.”
In the following month, she donned her wedding reception dress while attending Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour.
