Google Drive on Android has received a major document scanner interface redesign, alongside a new homepage and other UI tweaks. Specifically, the new interface includes brand new features and simplified controls and tools to enhance the document scanning experience.
With this new redesign, you will notice a dedicated camera FAB and refined controls, such as “Auto capture” mode and other helpful features for a seamless scanning process. The redesigned “Preview” interface provides modern tools to modify and manipulate scanned documents. This includes Crop & Rotate, Filters, Retake, and Delete. Additionally, you can add extra pages and easily save your scanned documents to Google Drive. The improved bottom bar and modern Material You design further contribute to a visually appealing and user-friendly UI.
These remarkable updates are included in the latest version 2.23.457.1 of Google Drive for Android. Along with the scanner redesign, the release brings other enhancements such as a new Home feed, improved tab organization, and streamlined grid view for files.
