Instagram Threads, the Twitter clone Meta launched two weeks ago, is being updated to include new features, including a follows tab.
Cameron Roth, a software engineer for Instagram, shared a Threads post on Tuesday, announcing additions to the app as part of an update to Apple’s iOS.

The follows tab in Instagram Threads will make it easier for users to see who is following them. Additionally, users will now have access to a translate button for reading text in other languages and have the ability to easily read posts from people they don’t follow. Since its launch two weeks ago, Instagram Threads, a Twitter clone developed by Meta, has gained substantial traction with a record 100 million sign-ups in just five days. However, it experienced a slight decline in growth and engagement in the following week, according to data from Sensor Tower and Similarweb. Advertisers are hoping for future updates to include features such as chronological feeds and hashtag search functionality, which would enhance their ability to create effective ad campaigns on the platform.
Roth also noted in a separate post that some users may need to restart the app or wait until the end of the day to see the new features, as they are being released gradually through a system of server-delivered flags.
