First Court Appearance Scheduled for Suspects in Fatal Irvine Shooting

Three individuals have been formally charged in connection with the tragic car-to-car shooting that resulted in the death of a 19-year-old man in Irvine. The suspects, namely Jayden Browndorf (age 21, from Irvine), Noah Farmer (age 22, from Tustin), and Hailey Angelique Rangel (age 20, from Lake Elsinore), allegedly committed the crime at the intersection of Athel Avenue and Sego Street, right before 12:40 p.m. on Thursday.

The charges against the trio include conspiracy with special circumstance allegations of murder through lying in wait. Additionally, Farmer is facing further sentencing enhancements for discharging a firearm resulting in severe bodily harm or death, as well as the personal use of a firearm, as stated in court records. A scheduled arraignment for the suspects is set to take place at the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana on Tuesday.

According to the Irvine Police, Neaimi-Pour entered the passenger seat of a black Mercedes-Benz positioned along the east curb of Athel Avenue, just before a Honda Civic pulled up alongside the Mercedes-Benz. Allegedly, Farmer disembarked from the Honda and proceeded to open fire on the victim.

Neaimi-Pour managed to exit the Mercedes before collapsing, as a concerned resident attempted to offer assistance prior to the arrival of first responders, as relayed by the police.

Browndorf and Farmer were living in close proximity to the crime scene and were apprehended during a search warrant of their residence, according to the authorities. They were both placed under arrest on Saturday under suspicion of homicide.

Rangel, on the other hand, was arrested on Sunday near Green River Road and the Riverside (91) Freeway in Corona. The police have identified her as the driver of the white Honda Civic in which the other two suspects were present prior to the shooting, revealed Sgt. Karie Davies, the public information officer of the Irvine Police Department.

The investigative team managed to recover both vehicles involved in the shooting incident, authorities confirmed.

Court records show that Farmer is currently facing charges of assault and battery, both classified as misdemeanors, for an incident that occurred on June 14, 2021. Additionally, he has been charged with a felony count of assault with force likely to cause severe bodily harm on February 9, 2021.

Rangel, on the other hand, has a pending case involving misdemeanors for corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, as well as malicious damage of personal property, filed on April 14, according to court records.

Jail records indicate that all three suspects are being held without the possibility of bail.
