Three individuals accused of a fatal car-to-car shooting that claimed the life of a 19-year-old man in Irvine will be making their appearance in the Orange County Central Jail’s courtroom in Santa Ana on Tuesday.
The suspects, identified as Jayden Browndorf (21) from Irvine, Noah Farmer (22) from Tustin, and Hailey Angelique Rangel (20) from Lake Elsinore, are facing charges in the shooting of Nicholas Alistair Neaimi-Pour. The incident occurred shortly before 12:40 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Athel Avenue and Sego Street.
According to Irvine police, Neaimi-Pour entered the passenger seat of a black Mercedes-Benz parked on the east curb of Athel Avenue. At that moment, a Honda Civic pulled up next to the Mercedes-Benz, and Farmer, who was in the Honda, stepped out and opened fire on the victim.
Neaimi-Pour managed to flee the Mercedes-Benz but collapsed shortly after. A resident attempted to assist him until first responders arrived, but unfortunately, Neaimi-Pour succumbed to his injuries, as stated by the police.
Browndorf and Farmer, who lived nearby, were apprehended when authorities executed a search warrant at their residence. They were subsequently charged with homicide on Saturday, according to the police.
Rangel, on the other hand, was arrested near Green River Road and the Riverside (91) Freeway in Corona on Sunday. She has also been booked on suspicion of homicide, according to the authorities.
Sgt. Karie Davies, the Irvine Police Department’s public information officer, revealed that Rangel was identified as the driver of the white Honda Civic that the other two suspects were traveling in before the shooting took place.
The police have successfully recovered both vehicles involved in the shooting incident.
Farmer has a previous case pending in court, consisting of misdemeanor charges of assault and battery on June 14, 2021. He also faced a felony charge of assault with force likely to cause significant bodily harm on February 9, 2021, according to court records.
Rangel also has a pending case in court, involving misdemeanor charges of corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, as well as malicious damage of personal property on April 14, as per court records.
All three suspects are currently held without bail, as indicated by jail records.
