Tempers flared between Colorado and Colorado State before their game on Saturday night in Boulder, with the two sides coming together at midfield after a contentious week.
While there’s no suggestion of any physical altercations, video of the incident shows the two sides exchanging heated words in close proximity before being separated.
Colorado star Travis Hunter then ran towards the fans to rile up the crowd, delivering a final message to his rivals before the start of the game.
‘They’ve messed with the wrong team,’ he said in a video captured by ESPN.
‘All talk, no action.’
