Expert: King Charles Attempts to Reinforce Harry’s Loyalties

  • On Father’s Day, King Charles shared a photo of his sons through The Royal Family’s Twitter account.
  • This gesture of including a photo of both brothers implies that the King is extending an olive branch to Prince Harry.
  • Prince Harry was not present at the King’s first Trooping of the Colours parade on Saturday.

The Royal Family’s official Twitter account shared a picture of King Charles III, Prince Harry, and Prince William along with a message honoring Father’s Day. An expert suggests that this post is a conciliatory gesture towards Prince Harry.

The tweet states: “To Dads everywhere, we wish you a very special Father’s Day today.”

The photo of the two young princes was part of a series that also featured King Charles and his late father, Prince Philip, as well as Queen Camila and her father.

Taken in 1997 at the family’s ancestral Balmoral estate, the photo shows King Charles standing with 14-year-old William and 12-year-old Harry. According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, the photo conveys a “tender message” to Harry, evoking “bittersweet memories” of a time when the family’s relationship was less strained, as reported by The Sun.

In his interview with The Sun, Fitzwilliams stated, “King Charles is undoubtedly sending a delicate message to his wayward son about what truly matters and where his true loyalties should lie.”

The expert also suggested that this could serve as a reminder to the brothers of the “precious family moments” they once shared, as reported by the Sun.

Both King Charles and Prince William were present at the Trooping of the Colour, a tradition that dates back 260 years and is also known as the king’s birthday parade, on Saturday. This marked the king’s first birthday parade as monarch.

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended the parade in 2022, they were not present this year.

Harry attended the King’s coronation in May, which was the first time he reunited with the royal family after the release of his revealing memoir “Spare.” The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to distance themselves from the royal family since stepping back as senior royals in 2020.

This digital olive branch comes following the announcement that Archewell Productions, the couple’s production company, and Spotify have “mutually agreed to part ways.” Meghan’s podcast “Archetypes” will not be renewed for a second season.
