A New Yamaha Aerox Monster Energy MotoGP Edition: Unleashing the Thrills
In the realm of maxi-scooters in India, there are limited options to choose from, including the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Aprilia SXR 160, among others. Among them, the Yamaha Aerox 155 stands out as one of the most popular choices. To amplify the excitement surrounding this already thrilling scooter, Yamaha has introduced the Monster Energy MotoGP Edition variant.
Experience the Launch of the Yamaha Aerox Monster Energy MotoGP Edition
Following the successful launch of the Monster Energy MotoGP Edition for the MT-15, R15, and RayZR scooter models, Yamaha now offers the same captivating design for the Aerox 155. Currently, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is available in four exciting colors: Metallic Black, Racing Blue, Grey Vermillion, and Silver, all priced at Rs. 1,46,800 (ex-showroom).
In anticipation of the festive season, Yamaha has introduced a fifth shade: the Yamaha Aerox 155 Monster Energy MotoGP Edition priced at Rs. 1,48,300 (ex-showroom). This edition is the most expensive color, with a premium of Rs. 1500 over the other options. The racing-inspired livery is the distinguishing feature of this edition, while the design and hardware remain the same as the standard Aerox 155.
The Yamaha Aerox 155 Monster Energy MotoGP Edition showcases multiple labels and stickers on its side body, center spine, and front apron. Iconic Monster Energy logos adorn the sides of the front apron, along with Monster Energy lettering on the front fly screen, rear grab rails, and center spine.
The Yamaha Aerox 155 Monster Energy MotoGP Edition features prominent Eneos branding on the center spine and front fly screen. With its black base coat, this edition creates a captivating contrast to highlight the sporty liveries.
No Mechanical Alterations: A Legacy of Performance
Aside from the new livery, the Yamaha Aerox 155 retains its impressive mechanical specifications. This is a positive aspect, considering it is a performance-oriented maxi-styled scooter. It is equipped with the same 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder 4V engine as the Yamaha R15 V4, albeit with slight detuning for the Aerox 155.
The performance figures include 14.75 bhp of power and 13.9 Nm of torque, coupled with a CVT transmission. The Aerox 155 also features Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). Its componentry includes telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, a front disc and rear drum brake setup, single-channel ABS, and more.
The Aerox 155 features 14-inch alloy wheels on both ends, with a 110/80-14 tire on the front wheel and a 140/70-14 tire on the rear wheel. Yamaha has equipped it with a fully digital instrument cluster, although it lacks essential features like turn-by-turn navigation.
Furthermore, the central spine on the floorboard accommodates a 5.5L fuel tank, allowing for ample under-seat storage for luggage. With a weight of 126 kg, the Aerox 155 strikes a balance between performance and agility. By introducing the Monster Energy MotoGP Edition for the Yamaha Aerox 155, the company aims to elevate the excitement for enthusiasts during the festive season. Similarly, the FZ-S Fi Ver 4.0 also receives two new color options.
