Exciting Final Fantasy 14 Update Reveals New Viper Class with Thrilling Final Fantasy 11 and 16 Crossovers

Square Enix has unveiled several exciting announcements at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2023 in London, providing a detailed glimpse into the highly anticipated expansion, Dawntrail. Among the highlights are the introduction of the Viper job, a collaboration raid with Final Fantasy XI, and a crossover titled “The Path Infernal” with Final Fantasy XVI. Furthermore, an open beta test for the Xbox Series X|S version is scheduled for mid-January to February 2024.

The Viper class is designed for close-range combat, utilizing two one-handed weapons that can be combined into a powerful two-handed weapon. Its primary function is to swiftly unleash devastating damage upon enemies.

The crossover raid, known as Echoes of Vana’diel, takes inspiration from the world of Final Fantasy XI, where the game is set. Additionally, Final Fantasy XVI introduces a series of quests allowing players to confront Ifrit and earn their very own Torgal mount. Protagonist Clive Rosfield will also join players on their adventure. Further information about the expansion will be shared at the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in Tokyo, scheduled for January.

The Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail expansion is set to launch in the summer of 2024, catering to PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S players. This highly anticipated update brings a host of new features, including a collaboration with Fall Guys, an increase in the level cap from 90 to 100, multiple new jobs, fresh dungeons, and exciting gear. Notably, this marks the first time Xbox players will have access to the game in almost a decade.
