Exciting Addition to Celebrity Antiques Road Trip: Accomplished Strictly Star Amy Dowden Joins the New Line-up

Love Island winners Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti are set to compete against each other on the upcoming 12th series of the popular show Celebrity Antiques Road Trip. The duo will try their luck at uncovering valuable antiques and making big profits at auctions. Joining them on the show will be reality star Gemma Collins, BBC Radio 1 presenter Melvin Odoom, 1980s pop stars Samantha Fox and Sinitta, as well as news anchor siblings Geeta and Krishnan Guru-Murthy, all on a mission to find hidden treasures.

Davies, known for his appearance on Dragons’ Den and Strictly Come Dancing, expressed his excitement for the adventure that awaits on Antiques Road Trip, especially with his partner Amy. Dowden, a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer after recently undergoing a mastectomy.

Sanclimenti described the experience of competing on the show as a pleasure. He highlighted the healthy competition between him and Ekin and the fun they had supporting each other throughout. He also mentioned how the experience taught him valuable lessons about antiques and how their worth may not always be as it seems.

Sinitta expressed her delight in finally getting the chance to spend time with Fox after years of trying to catch up. The two laughed non-stop and enjoyed driving through the countryside together, feeling like the pop music version of Thelma and Louise.

The 20-episode series will premiere on October 10, with comedy duo Paul Merton and Suki Webster taking charge of one of the show’s classic cars. Other pairings include documentary-maker Christine McGuinness and Coronation Street star Colson Smith, as well as Loose Women’s Linda Robson and Brenda Edwards going head-to-head.

Muslim Alim, BBC commissioning editor, expressed his excitement for the new series, promising a lineup of exciting celebrity duos and a variety of intriguing items that will keep viewers guessing until the last minute about their profit potential.

Don’t miss Celebrity Antiques Road Trip on BBC Two and iPlayer, starting on Tuesday, October 11 at 7pm.
