A tragic incident occurred in Holyoke, Massachusetts, where a shooting took place on a downtown street. During the altercation, a pregnant woman was shot while riding a public bus. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, and sadly, the baby she was carrying did not survive despite life-saving efforts. According to authorities, the shooting occurred around 12:38pm, with three male suspects involved in the altercation before gunfire erupted.
All the suspects involved in the shooting have been identified, taken into custody, and are currently receiving treatment at hospitals, as confirmed by the District Attorney’s Office. The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, along with the Holyoke Police Department, is actively investigating the incident, which stemmed from a street altercation. Pioneer Valley Transit Authority spokesperson, Brandy Pelletier, stated that one of their buses was involved in the shooting and declined to provide further details due to the ongoing investigation.
