Pappy + Harriet’s and the McCallum Theatre are pleased to announce their exciting new collaborative event, “Emo Orchestra Feat. Hawthorne Heights.” This unique concert experience will showcase an orchestra arrangement of beloved emo songs and will take place in November.
Mark your calendars for November 9th at 7 p.m., when the concert will be held at the prestigious McCallum Theatre, located at 73000 Fred Waring Drive.
Tickets for this highly-anticipated event will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday. They can be purchased on the theatre’s website or at the box office. Please note that the box office is only open for walk-up purchases until noon during the summer.
“(Pappy + Harriet’s) have a remarkable track record of showcasing world-class performers, and I have always admired their contribution to the desert music scene,” said Mitch Gershenfeld, the president, CEO, and artistic director of the McCallum Theatre. “This collaboration is a fantastic opportunity for the McCallum to connect with an audience that may be unfamiliar with us. We hope that this joint venture will lead to further co-presentations in the future.”
The Emo Orchestra will breathe new life into timeless emo anthems from renowned bands like Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance, and Dashboard Confessional. With a full orchestra arrangement, this live event will be a heartfelt tribute to the music that defined the early 2000s “emo” movement.
“Hawthorne Heights, one of our favorite emo bands, graced the stage at Pappy + Harriet’s last October for a sold-out night of pure joy. We are thrilled that these pioneers of the genre will now conduct an exhilarating symphony of sound, performing fan favorites in the grandiose and orchestral setting of the McCallum,” said Lisa Elin and JB Moresco of Pappy + Harriet’s.
