Explore the Unique Railbikes Experience in Kiltimagh
Introducing the Kiltimagh Velo Rail Project, a fascinating tourist attraction in Co Mayo. This one-of-a-kind experience allows visitors to cycle along a rebooted railway line in special ‘railbikes’ powered by their own pedal power.
The railbikes, resembling kart-style bikes with an overhead covering, are mounted on the rails and can accommodate two to five people depending on the model.
Upon receiving a demonstration and practice run, visitors can embark on a 7km cycle on either side of the town. After reaching their destination, they can rest while the railbikes are rotated before cycling back to Kiltimagh Station.
The cost for this unique experience is €40 per railbike, accommodating up to five people.
