Discover This Ingenious Trick to Squeeze Out Every Ounce of Ketchup from the Bottle

  • Have you ever struggled to get the last bit of ketchup out of a bottle?
  • TikToker Casey Rieger has a clever solution.
  • She suggests swinging the bottle in a circular motion, using centrifugal force to extract the remaining ketchup.

What happens when you combine centrifugal force, the last bit of ketchup in a bottle, and TikTok? You get a viral video.

That’s exactly what Casey Rieger, a content creator, discovered when she posted a video on TikTok on August 30.

“Okay, I saw somebody do this on TikTok and thought it was genius. So I’m gonna give it a try,” Rieger said in the video as she demonstrated the technique with a bottle of Heinz ketchup. Rieger, who joined TikTok in 2020, has amassed over 276,000 followers.

“You know when you want that last bit of ketchup and then you just. Most people hit it on their palm like that,” Rieger explained, mimicking the common motion with an almost empty bottle of Heinz ketchup in her hand.

“But what if you want to empty the entire bottle?” Rieger asked.

Rieger then proceeded to swing her arm, along with the bottle, in a large, circular motion multiple times. The result was concentrated ketchup near the bottle cap.

“How cool is that?” Rieger exclaimed at the end of the video.

Since its upload, Rieger’s video has garnered over 15 million views and received more than 20,000 comments. People in the comments have shared their own experiences with the trick, some jokingly claiming injury and others advising to keep the cap closed while swinging the bottle. A few commenters correctly identified the technique as centrifugal force.

Some viewers also praised Rieger’s style in the video.

“You Elvised it,” remarked one TikTok user.

“Cool, it’s like you’re at a rock concert playing guitar,” commented another.

However, at least one TikTok comment suggested a simpler solution.

“Just store it upside down,” read the comment.

Representatives for Heinz and Rieger have not yet responded to a request for comment from Insider.
