Bill Burr, known for his stand-up comedy, has now made his directorial debut.
Burr’s first directorial venture is “Old Dads,” a recently released film on Netflix.
According to Netflix, the movie follows three best friends who become fathers later in life and face challenges with modern-day elements.
“I am an old dad. I was in kindergarten 50 years ago,” Burr said in a featurette about the film.
“When I showed up everything was different. This movie is basically based on me and what I’m dealing with,” he added.
Besides directing, Burr also portrays one of the main characters, Jack.

Bobby Cannavale and Bokeem Woodbine also star in “Old Dads” as out-of-touch dads.
Katie Aselton, Rachael Harris, Jackie Tohn, Reign Edwards, and Miles Robbins have prominent roles in the film as well.
“I basically cast a bunch of actors around me that are way out of my league,” Burr mentioned about assembling the cast.
“I learned through Jerry Seinfeld that if you surround yourself with great actors, you’re going to look good.”

Netflix unveiled the movie’s trailer on September 20.
The trailer showcases Burr’s character struggling to fit in at his son’s progressive preschool and his struggles with adapting to a new workplace culture alongside his friends.
