Crushing Past Records: Can Amazon’s October Prime Day Outperform July’s Spectacular $13 Billion Sales?

According to data analytics firm Numerator, Amazon’s two-day October Prime Day sales may surpass last year’s Cyber Monday sales. Check out the Numerator report here.

Around one third of US households are expected to participate in the October 10-11 sale, with a preference for purchasing toys and Barbies over electronics.

While Numerator predicts that fall sales will significantly boost overall e-commerce sales, the level of participation is lower compared to the summer Prime Day sales.

CEO of Amazon Stores, Doug Herrington, announced in a news release in July that the first day of Prime Day set a sales record for Amazon, although specific figures were not disclosed. E-commerce research firm Digital Commerce 360 estimates that the July 11-12 sales reached approximately $13 billion.
