The Buffalo Bills and ADPRO Sports proudly announce this week’s high school coaches of the week in the Buffalo and Rochester regions. These two exceptional coaches have made a significant impact on their players both on and off the field. As a token of appreciation, they will receive $1,000 each for their football programs. The Coach of the Year for both regions will be revealed during the Week 17 game against the New England Patriots.
Coach of the Week in the Buffalo Region #2
We are pleased to announce Chuck Nagel of Newfane High School as the Coach of the Week for the Buffalo region. In their recent home conference game against Barker/Royalton-Hartland High School, Newfane secured a remarkable 43-11 victory, boosting their record to 2-0 this season. This is the first time Newfane has achieved a 2-0 start since 2003.
Nagel’s tenure as head varsity coach began in 2012, and after seven years, he led Newfane to a Division title in 2019. Under his guidance, the Panthers also made it to the Section 6 playoffs in 2017. Nagel’s commitment to Newfane extends beyond the football field—he actively volunteers at the Newfane Community Weekend and even participated in a dunk tank event to raise funds for the Newfane Alumni Association this past summer. He has also played a significant role in the installation of lights and new turf in the football field and athletic complex, resulting in increased attendance at Friday night games.
Adapting his coaching style to align with the ever-changing players and personnel in the program, Nagel has demonstrated his versatility and dedication. One of his most cherished moments is the opportunity to coach his son, CJ, who is a senior on the team.
