Caught in Flames of Controversy: OC Firefighter Faces Charges in Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident

An Orange County firefighter has been indicted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian in Dana Point. The announcement was made by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday.

Jeffrey Richard Grasinger, a 36-year-old resident of Rancho Santa Margarita, was indicted last week. However, it was on Tuesday that officials revealed that he is facing a felony charge of hit-and-run with permanent and serious injury. If convicted during the trial, he could be sentenced to up to four years in prison.

Grasinger, a 13-year veteran of the Orange County Fire Authority, is set to be arraigned on November 17 at the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana.
