Breezy and her owner, Ginger Thompson, were returning home to Spokane, Washington, after participating in a cat show. According to a report by 9News, their journey took an unexpected turn when another traveler accidentally bumped into Breezy’s carrier, causing it to open and allowing Breezy to escape onto the plane bridge.

Despite efforts to capture her, Breezy remained elusive for the next 24 hours. Thompson anxiously awaited updates about her missing cat in Denver.

In a Facebook post, Thompson expressed her distress and hope for Breezy’s safe return. Fortunately, at 2:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Thompson joyfully announced that her cat had been found by the Southwest ramp crew.

The Southwest employees went above and beyond to locate Breezy, who was hiding in one of the ramp areas. The airline’s team worked swiftly to secure the cat and coordinate with the City of Denver to reunite Breezy with her relieved owner.

Thompson expressed her gratitude towards the Southwest ramp crew and airport officers for their assistance in the reunion.

After their eventful journey, Thompson shared on Facebook that Breezy had returned home, a little worse for wear but grateful to be back. Thompson also made sure to securely fasten the cat carrier for their flight back home.
