Carly Paoli, a Soprano: Vatican foundation’s event to promote inclusivity

The International Meeting on Human Fraternity event, organised by the Fratelli Tutti Foundation in collaboration with St Peter’s Basilica, aims to promote brotherhood among various cultures. As part of this event, a document will be signed that calls for a “commitment to global brotherhood”. The concert will feature classical singer Paoli, who feels that it symbolises the fact that “we are all one” despite the vastness of the world. Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will also be performing. The singer believes that the event will be inclusive of groups that may not feel represented by the Catholic Church. She added that music can bring communities together and expressed her joy in representing her hometowns on the international stage. The Pope, who was to attend, may not be present following recent surgery. The concert will be available for viewing on Vatican TV on YouTube and Facebook from 3 pm GMT on Saturday.
